ProofOfConcept: CPU/GPU Temp w/ Open Hardware Monitor

Suggestions/ideas for new Controls

Hi,

sorry for the late response, but it seems the forum does not send me notifications...

I did an update today, using a version of OpenHardwareMonitor directly from SVN (I put the binaries on my cloud).
Now my Asus H87Pro is fully supported :)

I added a bunch of new Sensors, like GPU shader/memory/core load/clock, cpu fan #1/2/3/4, check it out!

Motherboard temperature #1 and #2... for people like me this is how i read cpu temp. But also handy to troubleshooting heating issues (ambient temperature too high not allowing the CPU to cool efficienty).

Ok, I will have a look at this.
If there was a way to make a drop down box in the powergrid editor based on what the dll returns....

Today is May 30th 2014 and I re launched Power Grid in hopes of a CPU/GPU Temperature Control widget. While I see the information is here, for some odd reason the CPU temperature is reading 0 degrees, while ironically the hardware application you had us download, there is values to it.

The GPU temperature shows correctly but my CPU isnt. Any ideas?

Before posting, let me look....nope...nothing on my hardware monitor is rating 0 degrees. So lol let me exit Roccat one more time and re launch....ugggh nooooooo :(

Every single option within the Plugin Coolinger shows a value "Except CPU Temperature" and last night I think my CPU went over the brink. I was really really hoping for a CPU Temperature widget

I'll periodically check the boards here for an update on how to fix my CPU Temperature. I'll keep everything installed and with luck things might work out for me :)

Thanks

Okay as I'm trying really hard to figure out a specific temperature reading thru my motherboard I got to looking at the "Open Hardware Monitor" program again.

I noticed my CPU temperature to read as this:

Core#1- #6 Value 31^C Max 37^C

However using a separate 3rd party app called SIW I actually have a temperature reading for each of my cores:

LOL but looking at it now; they are roughly all the same, except 1.

Core#0 Max Value says 46 (I started SIW earlier than Hardware Monitor)

Rest of cores says Max Value is 47

And actually its like this....I wonder if "Open Hardware Monitor" counts a core starting at 1....So a 6 Core Processor would be 1-2-3-4-5-6

But my SIW and Roccat detects it as CPU Core 0-1-2-3-4-5 and if by chance Roccat detects Core 0 off Open Hardware Monitor, Core 0 isnt listed, hence 0 degrees!

Aha! I solved the mystery LOL

Hey,

Ive downloaded your temp app, works great!
But only one problem i'm having with it.

As soon as i add it to the grid, the default sound controls grid piece stops working.

Do you have a workaround for that? because id really like to see what music is playing atm again + be able to use your app.
