Click Counter (Tally)

Postby Sarainy » 19. Mar 2016, 16:41

I was wondering how possible it would be to create a 'Click Counter'?

Something like this Tally Counter.

I managed to hack something together using the prebuilt Calculator buttons, but it meant having to use 4x2 space for what could really be 4x1...

Most frustratingly it also required having to press "+ 1 =" just to get a single increment, when this could easily be a single button press.

The total also gets wiped when the application is closed on my phone. Is there a method to keep the stored count in place, even between resets?

1) Doing this as a plugin would be pretty simple, you would just increment a variable when the button is pressed.
(and maybe an additional one for resetting)

2) Storing the last value is not really possible.

Interesting. Do you have any resources on how to go about creating a plugin like this?

Also is there no way to save the stored variable, so that it can be called again on next load? Stored on the PC or on the phone, either is fine.

This video-series shows how to create plugins, this is the first part.

It would be possible if using a .dll in the plugin and then saving that value to a file and reading that file.
