Is there a way to share one .dll file among several plugins?

Everything regarding the Power-Grid SDK can be asked and discussed here.

You cannot share one .dll among several plugins since the dll hast du be in the root-directory (or a subfodler of) the plugin.json.
However one plugin can consist of multiple grids, meaning that they share one plugin.json and so one .dd file.
To do that you simply merge your plugin.json files and make sure that all grids are known in the plugin.json like this:

Code: Select all
Grids:[
    "MyGrid1.grids.json",
    "MyGrid2.grids.json"
]

It is way easier to just copy-paste the .dll though

Hi Addihash,
thanks for your answer.
I hope it's OK for Power-Grid app that the same tiny .dll will be loaded several times by different plugins?

I just checked and it seems to work for me.
If it doesn't work (for whatever reason) you can still rename the .dll file.
